How to catch surf perch on the Oregon coast - gulp sandworm setup

Mando and I went out fishing at Newport for some redtail surf perch. We arrived well before the sun came up. Mando spotted a seal out in the surf as we walked down onto the beach. Where there are seals, there are fish so we casted in the general area and began catching fish immediately. Bit was slow, but it was consistent. We were using a Hi-Low rig setup with Gulp sandworms - 2" camo color for bait. Redtail surf perch can be found all along the Oregon coast, year round. Rod: 10' Cabela's Tourney Trail IM8 salmon rod - 2 oz rated Reel: shimano stradic ci4+ 4000. Line: 20# braid Leader: 15# mono Hook: #2 baitholder by Eagle claw Mando's Fishing Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5UhTw_v1Eb9Z5HBJoeJvOA/feed
