Because it is water based it washes out easily. It has a medium shine and a very strong hold. If you read nothing else understand that I recommend this product highly and you will love it. What to expect: Hand Feel: The product is thicker and feels more substantial than something like a cream but is not quite as thick as a heavy clay. Shine: This pomade will not over shine your hair but it does come with some shine to it. If you are looking for something in the medium to light shine range this is a great product.
