Plus Two English Unit 1 Lesson 1 The Three Ls of Empowerment (Women Empowerment) Brief Note. # Indian women face a lot of challenges today. They face various kinds of discriminations in our society and even at home. They are not paid equal wages for equal job. Female foeticide is widespread in many North Indian states. Parents do not take care in giving education to a girl child. Domestic violence against women and dowry are still very common in our country. Crimes against women are increasing alarmingly.These are some of the issues faced by women. Are women equipped to face these challenges ? The answer is No. Though many women are equipped to defend themselves and to get along with men in society , a majority remain helpless. The three Ls of empowerment are a magical solution to this issue namely Learning Labour and Leadership. ( Explain the three Ls)
