Retina Macbook Pro HDMI audio out of TV speakers.

This is a quick video showing that there is no need to change any settings to tell the computer to use the TV's speakers when connected thru the HDMI port. Im not sure how it is on older and non-retina macbook pro's but I have read that you must go into settings in order for the sound to come thru the TV's speakers. One thing that stumped me when I first went to try this was my TV's settings were still set up from when I had a iMac hooked up to it via mini dvi to vga adapter. The sound would not come thru the TV until I went into the TV's settings and changed the name of the HDMI port I was using to PC. Audio would come thru on other settings like TV and Cable but the screen was being enlarged to much and the top, sides and bottom were getting cut off. *YouTube* I own and created all video's shown on this page. * * * #diy #howto
