Performed by the DTQ Quartet with guest 1st violinist, E. Cole, on 3-18-2012 at the Community Music Center in Portland, OR. Composer's program notes - "This composition is meant to evoke the various emotions experienced by someone on their way home to family after a long absence. The opening theme of joy and excitement is the principal theme of the piece and it returns in various forms throughout the work. Occasionally it is tempered by emotions of suspense, anxiety, and bliss. In the end, our traveler returns home safely to hugs and handshakes and the joyful opening theme is heard once again."
