How to open word document on Mac

A quick tutorial on how to open Word document on mac. I had Microsoft Word installed on my computer when I bought it. I had an issue with update and Word no longer worked because I didn't have the install code. I tried to buy a new version of windows for mac and it was too expensive. Never needed it. Pages is a way better program.
