2022 MG ZS ev Officially Revealed Ahead Of Launch Next Month

#2022mgzsev #2022nexonev 2022 MG ZS ev facelift has been revealed ahead of launch. After recent undisguised spyshots , now MG India officially shared some images of the upcoming EV. The new electric SUV will now look much similar to the MG Astor but there will be a few design highlights setting it apart from the standard petrol model. Apart from cosmetic changes ,MG will also offer a longer range and added features. The update gets new slimmer headlamps with integrated LED DRL's and LED tail lamps as seen in the Astor. But the front and rear bumpers are all new with some sporty details. Also the new alloys adds futuristic character in design and even adds sportiness to the overall package. Another notable design update is the front grille which is blanked-off to replace the traditional grille with a charging port cover sits aside to the MG logo. Unlike the exterior, changes inside the cabin will remain limited . However, the ZS will benefit with some feature addition from the all-new Astor. The ZS EV will come with a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 8.0-inch unit on the pre-facelift model. Top-spec models will also likely get a new faux carbon fibre trim around the touchscreen. The climate control buttons have also been revised, and are now similar to the Astor. The new MG ZS is likely to offer a wireless phone charger, an all-digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen upgraded from the 8.0-inch unit. But the major addition will be the ADAS Level-2 features and 360 degree camera as seen in the Astor. Expected to pack in a larger 51kWh battery pack, which replaces the 44.5kWh unit from the outgoing model. Currently, the ZS EV has a claimed range of 419km, and while the official range with the new battery pack is yet to be announced, one can expect a claimed range of close to 480km. But this addition should definitely add more price to the SUV which also increases the gap between it's rivals. So let's wait and watch if MG will still offer the 44 Kwh battery pack alongside the new one. The outgoing version of the ZS EV produces 143hp and 353Nm from its front-axle mounted electric motor. It remains to be seen if there are any changes on the output and performance front. Currently, MG ZS EV is priced from Rs. 21.49 lakh to Rs. 25.18 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which makes it a direct rival to Hyundai Kona EV which is also due for an upgrade later this year. On the other hand The Tata Nexon holds top selling SUV spot on it's own ground. Like the others the Nexon EV is also getting a large battery pack and added features which is due for launch in coming months.
