Freeze in Left4Dead on Linux

L4D randomly, ore not randomly freezes while playing, and even when starting - like in the video here, where it freezes, ~ 30seconds in, while in level intro ?! This video is here for showing problem in https://steamcommunity.com/app/550/discussions/0/5487063042647537494/
