First Family Sail And Medical Emergency Prep | Episode 33

This is Episode 33 of our adventure. This week Kelly is on a course. MCA STCW Proficiency in Medical Care Aboard a Ship at Hamble School of Yachting. On the off chance we email to see if we could have a berth on site and they say yes! The boat isn't ready for any long passages but this was just around the corner so we decided to go for it. It was the kids first trip on the Esperance and they loved it. Kelly reflects on how hard it was to face up to the realities of a medical emergency at sea but finds comfort in all she learnt. We are a family of five with plans for an epic adventure, sailing around the world. We have bought a boat we have to gut it, rebuild it, sell all of our possessions and have the guts to cast off.
