Harnessing the Power of the GPU in Web Applications Time: Wednesday @ 1:30pm | Room E-132 http://html5devconf.com #HTML5DevConf This session explores the status and potential of three initiatives that are unlocking the power of the GPU for web applications: WebGL is now an established web technology bringing foundational, GPU-accelerated 3D to browsers across a wide diversity of platforms and devices WebCL is an emerging JavaScript binding to OpenCL, enabling web applications to compile and execute C kernels across parallel CPUs and GPUs NVIDIA path rendering extensions to OpenGL are enabling full GPU acceleration of vector based web graphics, particularly critical on mobile devices that need rapid touch responsiveness.
