FFPP Presents: Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Introduction with Global Ocean Health Program

In an additional engagement opportunity, CTUIR First Foods Policy Program (FFPP) is excited to welcome representatives from the Global Ocean Health: Building Tribal Leadership in Carbon Removal (GOH:BTL)! For this presenation, we were joined by GOH:BTL representatives Francesca Hillery and Matthew Randazzo, who shared with us an overview of the broad kinds of strategies that exist to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere and the ocean. Strategies range from engineered carbon capture and storage, to bioenergy and technology produced from captured carbon, to natural solutions that store carbon in forests, coastal vegetation, grasslands, and soil. This presentation was the first of future events designed to build understanding of carbon removal for the CTUIR community.
