Nissan has showcased the all new 2021 Nissan X-Trail at the ongoing Auto Shanghai fair. The 2021 Nissan X-Trail will be based on the Alliance CMF-C platform, which was designed to accommodate Nissan’s advanced ePOWER powertrain, as well as ready for the highly evolved driver assistance technologies. 2021 Nissan X-Trail design The fourth generation X-Trail follows Nissan’s 3.0 design language and as a result one can spot the oversized grille and a two-tier lighting system. The overall dimensions have also changed and the new X-Trail looks a lot more muscular than before. This is also the case at the back where the tail gate gets a split tail light design and striking design lines. Inside, the X-Trail offers a large digital display which not just offers entertainment but a host of connectivity features. Like the current X-Trail, the new iteration will be available with a folding third row of seats. As far as features go, the new X-Trail will offer plenty including ventilated seats, wireless charging and a host of driver assistance functions. 2021 Nissan X-Trail: Engines, e-power, AWD systems The 2021 Nissan X-Trail will be powered with the company’s VC Turbo 300 motor. The engine offers 201bhp and 300Nm of torque. The X-Trail will also come with Nissan’s 4x4 Intelligent AWD system which sends power to all four wheels. The system offers multiple modes to tackle various types of terrain. The new X-Trail also adopts Nissan’s e-POWER technology. The unique element of the e-POWER installation is that the petrol engine is used solely to generate electricity, while the wheels are driven only by the electric motor. This means the engine can always run within its optimal range, leading to superior fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions compared with a traditional internal combustion engine. It is a powertrain innovation for customers who are not ready to embrace a full electric vehicle, but want to enjoy the advantages of an electrified powertrain. Price The estimated price of Nissan X-Trail is Rs. 22.60 Lakh. The on road price for X-Trail is not available right now.
