Normal Distribution & CLT using Excel

In this video, I have taught the basics of Normal distribution, and why we need standard normal distribution. Further, we discussed the distribution of sample means - coming from a normal distribution - will also be a Normal distribution. Going forward, I showed through the Random Number Generator of excel that even if the underlying distribution is not normal, for a large enough sample size, the distribution of the sample mean will still follow a normal distribution. And this is the essence of the Central Limit Theorem. Finally, we tried how to check for standardized Z values in excel using its inbuilt functions. In the next session, we will take this discussion forward to cover hypothesis testing in excel as well as a two-sample t-test. The portions that I have covered are part of data analysis theory, practical, statistics, and also laying the foundation for econometrics in semester 4.
