"The Swan" by Camille Saint-Saens on the famous "Red Violin" - Kimberly McDonough

I enjoy playing many genres of music (classical, popular, soundtrack) and Lindsey Stirling's dubstep violin music is one of my favorite types to perform. I play at all sorts of events professionally (art walks, restaurants, parties, ceremonies, weddings, etc.). Performing is something I deeply enjoy, so I'm currently studying music performance in college. By doing this, I hope to spread my love for music to every person that I can. I believe that music can touch the hearts and souls of everyone, so I hope I can do this through my videos and other social media. On May 12, 2012 I played "The Swan" on the amazing "Red Violin" at a house concert and fundraiser on Kauai. The beautiful violin is currently owned by violin virtuoso Elizabeth Pitcairn, but she let me play it for this concert. (I was so nervous that I messed up a few times on my piece, but I kept playing and it turned out to be a wonderful experience). With the funds from the concert, we raised just enough funds for me to attend Luzerne Music Camp in New York in the summer of 2012! This was an amazing experience that helped me become a better musician and performer. I love this song and I hope you enjoy it too.
