Guitar; Violin; Flute and Treble Flute: Sweet Rose of Sharon (Including lyrics and chords)

This is a tune I wrote a few months ago especially for my friend, Sharon Christian, who plays the flute at our music sessions. Originally it was in the key of A minor, but when I added lyrics to it I found that I could not sing it in that key, so have transposed it up to B minor. The violin, flute and treble flute in this recording were created by MuseScore2, but Sharon played the flute for me when we did a live performance a few weeks ago. It is her birthday today, so Happy Birthday Shaz. When her playing ended and silence round us reigned I walked up to this maiden. “Please tell to me your name?” She said to me, “I am Mary Anne, but round these parts I’m known By the name of my favourite flower - - - the Sweet Rose of Sharon.
