Meet the Maker: loli pop

This exhibition round includes works provided by Lolli. Pop, which will be on view in the Third Floor East Gallery from March 2 – April 23, 2022. Lolli. Pop is an artist collaborative consisting of Chintia Kirana and Joe Ren. They received their MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Since their graduate years, they’ve worked on many creative endeavors such as Expose Art Magazine, Expose Art, and Lolli.Pop. Together they’ve exhibited Lolli.Pop in the States, Finland, and China. “Our work is an escape from reality. We weaved imageries from social events and cultural experiences by creating explosions of colors and patterns to reconstruct imagery and form a new perspective. For this exhibition, we gravitate towards figurative imageries to create a loving world. We are inspired by the location and history of the city. The kisses in the installation represent love, peace, and curiosity. For us, it is our love letter to Hunstville.”–Lolli.Pop
