DIY Whipped Body Butter - using all natural ingredients
Do-it-yourself all natural whipped body butter.
Benefits: These 100% natural ingredients not only provide deep hydration for the skin but they have other benefits as well. Shea butter has proven successful in treating skin ailments such as eczema and psoriasis, and works well at treating minor burns and scars. Cocoa butter, mango butter and shea butter all work wonders at reducing razor burn and stretch marks, and have also proven successful at restoring skin elasticity.
What You'll Need:
- Electric mixer
- Storage container (shallow with wide mouth and tight seal works best)
- 1/2 cup Organic Shea Butter
-1/2 cup Cocoa Butter or Mango Butter, or 1/4 cup of each
-1/4 cup Coconut Oil (found at any major health food store)
-1/4 cup Light Oil (almond or jojoba is recommended -- found at any major health food store)
-10-30 drops essential oil of your choice (citrus, lavender, peppermint -for a tingly feeling, coconut, etc. -- most can be found at any major health food store, for more unique scents look online)
-Optional: 1/8 cup vitamin E oil (for extra moisturizing component -- found at any major health food store)
-Optional: ziplock bag & scissors to cut out bottom corner (don't create cut out until directions call for it -- this helps to neatly place finished product into storage container)
