FRANKFURT, ROMER-MAINKAI WALK AROUND IN HD1080P

Mila and Adrie, one of those hundreds of gridlock displaying lover's name that this steel bridges named Eiserner Steg has to hold. I guess those lovers would like to wish their love that bridging two souls would be as strong as Eiserner Steg's steel. This time, i made a long walk starting from just around Frankfurt Cathedral , Kaiserdom St.Bartholomaus and then made my way towards Römerplatz.Römer is one of Frankfurt’s most important landmarks, the medieval Römer building is a significant part of the Römerplatz (Römer Square) in the Altstadt (Old Town). Located opposite Old St. Nicholas Church, it’s served as Frankfurt’s city hall for more than 600 years, though it’s naturally undergone some modifications in that time. Comprising several houses and six courtyards from different eras, the three-story complex currently spans some 107,639 square feet. While it once functioned as a trading hub and venue for Frankfurt’s famous book fairs, it’s now more typically used for weddings and official functions. The walking continued on to the riverside Mainkai which then i made two bridges crossing, one of those named Eiserner Steg and the other one is Untermainbrücke. Although the former one is the only pedestrian bridge that span across Main river.Eiserner Steg (Iron Bridge) is a pedestrian bridge over the river Main connecting the Old Town of Frankfurt with the Sachsenhausen district. It is also known as the “Love Lock Bridge” for being hung with tons of locks interlinked with each other, forming an enormous chain, symbol of "eternal love".The bridge has been in place since 1868, and was built initially through public subscription. The original version was replaced in 1912 with a widened, reinforced and elevated construction. By that time the Main had become navigable upstream, so the low headroom of the Iron Bridge presented a traffic obstacle for large barges. Although its external appearance was retained for historical reasons, structurally – in terms of the load-bearing principle – the bridge was made completely different, switching from a suspension to a cantilever model. The walk ended just around the Euro Skulptur, The Euro-Skulptur (German for Euro sculpture) by Ottmar Hörl set up at Willy-Brandt-Platz at Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is one of two copies of the work that have been put on public display. It basically is a 14 metres tall electronic signage that shows a Euro sign and twelve stars around, weighing 50 tonnes. The display at Willy-Brandt-Platz in front of the then seat of the European Central Bank, or ECB which was then at the Eurotower. The sculpture replaced the Euro clock that had been installed there before. Its lights were switched on for the first time at New Year 2001/2002 when the Euro was introduced. The Euro-Skulptur is among the objects most often photographed in Frankfurt's inner city. It is frequently used to illustrate reports on the Euro #jalanjalan #mlaku-mlaku #mbolang #travelog #travel #frankfurt #Römer #germany #walkingaround #wandering #eisernersteg Stock music provided by goodmoodmusic, from Pond5
