Checking Out the NEW AMG EQS 53 in California! | SHMUSEUM VLOG 40

Brad and Shmarc are on tour to check out the brand new Mercedes-AMG EQS 53 in California! Setting off from The Shmuseum while @Shmee150 is in Dubai, the team head to Palm Springs and Los Angeles to check out the first fully electric production AMG. With the launch of the all electric saloon from Mercedes-Benz a short while ago, the team from Affalterbach have no turned their hands to it, introducing the first fully electric series production AMG mode, the EQS 53. After flying over to the USA, both Brad and Marc get a chance behind the wheel during a drive from Palm Springs to Los Angeles, to find out all about it, from the familiar Hyperscreen and new features, to the AMG specifics and driving dynamics. The AMG version of the EQS differs from the normal EQS on a number of points. The exterior features a black panel front grille with horizontal struts and a series of AMG batches around the car. The digital front lights come as standard and the EV rolls on 21 or 22 inch AMG specific wheels in Heritage or Aero design. The rear spoiler and rear diffuser are complemented by the AMG high performance ceramic brake kit and the rear axle steering of up to 9 degrees. On the inside, the 56-inch Hyperscreen is 1.4 meter wide and comes standard in the 53-variant. On the screen, you have access to the AMG performance menu and a series of AMG specific center cluster options. In the interior, the AMG style seats are combined with Alcantara and an AMG steering wheel. If you watch the video above, you will also here the AMG acoustic sounds changing per driving mode. The performance of the AMG EQS 53 offers two levels. If you opt for the AMG Dynamic Plus package, you get a sprint time to 100 kmh in 3.4 seconds, a top speed of 250 kmh and 560 kw from both AMG-specific electric motors. Future buyers who don't opt for the package have only 484 kw, 220 kmh as a top speed and a sprint time of 3.8 seconds. Both variants have 1020 Nm of maximum torque, a 108 kw battery with a maximum range of 585 km and the ability to recharge 300 km of range in 19 minutes.
