DOOM on Linux...What It Was Like for The First Time

You kids are lucky that this is now a fairly easy thing to do because it was not easy at all back in the early to mid 1990s. You either had the DOS release or you had the DOOM95 release. And you were stuck with Windows until the source code was made available to the public. So most of us did not know that there were alternatives to the original game engine. I only learned about ZDOOM via piracy software because when people would illegally redistribute the games they would either bundle DOOM95 or they would bundle it with ZDOOM.
