RALF SCHUMACHER PUSHES MAX VERSTAPPEN TO LEAVE RED BULL AND COME TO MERCEDES IN 2025 -------------- Ralf Schumacher, a former Mercedes driver in the DTM, has suggested that Max Verstappen consider a significant career change, leaving Red Bull to join Mercedes in 2025. Schumacher, who has a close relationship with Mercedes, believes such a move could be beneficial for both Verstappen and the Toto Wolff-led team. Schumacher argues that the current infighting and alleged rift at Red Bull could influence Verstappen's decision. “The rift and the current power struggle would definitely make me think about moving if I were him. Especially since he wants to prove that he is World Champion not only because he has the best car, but because he is the best driver,” Schumacher explained. The former German driver also suggests that Red Bull may be in decline and that its dominance in Formula 1 may not be as strong in the future. Furthermore, Schumacher believes Verstappen has the talent to revitalize Mercedes and return them to the top of F1. “The idea of restarting a team like Mercedes appeals to him and he can do it. Max has an incredible feel for the car: he can get two or three tenths more out of it than any other driver,” he added. Three-time world champion Verstappen could be looking for new challenges following the changes at Red Bull, and a move to Mercedes could offer him the chance to prove his ability in a different environment and reaffirm his status as the best driver in the world.
