Decoding - Phonics Sounds - CVC Words

When it comes to the world of phonics for kids, there are three important steps that the learning phase will go through, it starts with understanding what phonics is, moving to the part of decoding the words, and then eventually coming to the last step of blending those letters in order to form a word (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iagcBAenghg). In the decoding phase, there are different steps that the parent should go through to make sure that the child is actually pronouncing the letters correctly and reading the words as they should be. Decoding in general is about recognizing the letter and bringing out the sound that the letter represents, and the first part of decoding is related to some specific letters which are (s.a.t.p.i.n) which could form different words that could help the child to read different words with the same letters but pronounce them correctly. This is important because these letters will give them the chance to decode small CVC words, which is the next thing to be taught to the kids in the journey of decoding (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LWCkpSV6BI). CVC words is the second part of understanding the decoding phase and giving the child the chance to decode the words and read them carefully. Decoding CVC means reading a word that consists of (Consonant, Vowel, Consonant). Kids should understand that a vowel is the letters (a, e, i, o, u) while the consonant is all about the rest of the letters included in the English alphabet (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qIylRqK7NsI). Learning the vowels and how to read them correctly within the different words is considered the hardest part in teaching the kids the English alphabet and letting them do the phonics sounds correctly, but they will eventually come to the point where they will manage to read everything correctly when they go through lots of exercises and get used to the whole thing. On the other hand, learning the consonant is much easier for the kids than the vowel, so parents should be patient enough and keep their attention focused in order to make sure that the kids are reading everything correctly at the end of the educational journey of learning the alphabet letters. After the kids learn to read the consonant letters correctly and make the right sounds for them, they will then move on to the vowels and succeed at it all, they should then come to the third step in the lesson of phonics sounds which is the blending. The blending is important because sometimes letters sound differently according to the other letters they are combined with (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ5icwjFri4). Since we are referring to phonics and the different stages or steps followed in the journey of learning it, we should also mention some of those games which the kids could learn to pronounce the letters through. Kids could play XO but instead of using the X and the O, they could use words which they keep repeating and which will then teach them to write the letters and spell them correctly with practicing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DO_qeSroDs). On the other hand, when it comes to teaching the kids phonics, it starts with educating them every single letter separately and this comes as part of teaching them to write this letter down as well. There are different lessons and videos on our channel that could teach the kids to write down letters, here are some of them: Letter 'S' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzwoPNQk1XY) Letter 'P' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmmNwX1bPH4) Letter 'E' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3Vja3_Rvjs) Letter 'N' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jg0bhC0gqRU) Letter 'L' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVL9oskIn10) It is interesting for the kids to learn their lessons through some games and tricks which they learn and play, because this ends up being more challenging for them and it gives them the chance to widen their thinking skills to solve the riddles and keep up with the challenges.
