The floating market or floating market which is now the mainstay of tourism in South Kalimantan, especially the city of Banjarmasin, is estimated to have existed in the era of the still sustainable Banjar sultanate. It is very unfortunate that the existence of the floating market in Kuin Village, Banjarmasin City has gradually diminished and is now no longer visible, while in Lok Baintan, Banjar Regency, it is still alive today. Therefore, the Banjarmasin City Government since the leadership of Mayor Haji Muhidin created an artificial floating market on the Martapura River, precisely at the location of the Siring Tendean tourist attraction.
