1890 W.E.Hill & Sons Violin restoration day 5 - Varnish work

Day 5: Getting close to finishing... Watch Master Violin maker Olaf Grawert as he restores a WE Hill & Sons violin from 1890. This violin has not been played for over 50 years and belonged to a prominent Queensland musical family who went to London in 1890 to buy the violin for one of the three daughters. As Olaf keeps working on the violin find out more about the instrument, it's main player and how the family had a lasting influence in the classical music scene in Queensland in the late 1800's.
