The Witcher 3 [Gameplay #32] [DM / New Game+] - Clarity of Vision [1440p]

Nowadays I play PC games on a relatively fancy G-Sync monitor at 1440p. As far as video recording goes, though, I care more about editing than image quality and have thus been sticking with a mere 1080p for my finished clips. The Witcher 3 really does deserve better than that, so I finally decided to experiment a little with more modern output settings - the result being this channel's first video venturing boldly into that undiscovered country beyond regular HD formats. The fight sequence was recorded at the monitor's native 2160*1440 resolution, but the second half of the video (with the deceptively romantic Keira Metz dinner) actually features a whopping 3840*2160 image which has been downscaled to 1440p during the encoding process. My GPU from 2014 obviously isn't intended for 4K-ish conditions in an already graphically intense release like TW3, but it works alright for leisurely paced dialogue scenes (as well as for taking even better screenshots with the Photo Mode mod).
