Fault Amplifier not powering up Initial inspection confirmed as shown in the video the power input protection fuse was blown. Replacement fitted T1.6 Amp. Output transistors checked to confirm non were short circuit. No issue found. Rear back panel and main Amplifier board fixing screws removed. As can be seen in the video there were multiple dry solder joints on the board, all reflowed. The following were all re-flowed to prevent any future issues. Input RCA sockets. Head Phones Socket. Balance control. Power switch. Volume control potentiometer and interconnecting cables. User controls and switches cleaned with De-Oxit to ensure noise free operation. Also the speaker protection relay 24 V DC DP/CO was replaced to prevent any future issues with loss of Audio due to oxidised contacts. Amplifier board and metal back panel screwed back in place prior to testing. The above must be done and the speaker terminal grounding screws have to be fitted also. This is due to the common ground connection that must be made failure to do so will result in damage to the Amplifier. Bias for each channel checked no adjustment required. Amplifier fully tested working correctly.
