Online discussion: Four economic policies of the future 1/3

The pandemic has triggered a flurry of thinking regarding the future of the economy from all sides of the political spectrum. Nothing is beyond questioning. In this discussion, experts will analyse four policy ideas whose time of implementation might have finally come. These are a land tax; national development banks; a job guarantee and an export-led economic structure. While some of them have already enjoyed public attention and scrutiny, for one reason or another none of them have been implemented either fully or successfully. The invited experts will discuss the merits and challenges of each policy tool and debate the terms of their potential implementation in Latvia.
