There is a scratch on the reverse of this coin in approximately the three o'clock position on the reverse. This is more noticeable in the video than in the pictures. Detracts marginally from the eye appeal of this piece which is otherwise very pleasing for the type. Notice in particular the details in the small shields on the wings of the crowned double-headed imperial eagle. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of Tzar Nicholas II of Russia with Cyrillic script around reading 'Б.М.НИКОЛАЙ II ИМПЕРАТОРЬ И САМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОСС', the English translation of which is 'By God's grace Nikolai II Emperor and Autocrat of the whole Russia'. The reverse boasts the quintessentially Russian crowned double-headed imperial eagle with Cyrillic script below reading '10 РУБЛЕЙ 1910 Г.', the English translation of which is '10 Rubles 1903 year'. The smooth edge is incused with Cyrillic script reading '1 ЗОЛОТНИК 78.24 ДОЛИ ЧИСТОГО ЗОЛОТА(А • P)', the English translation of which is '1 zolotnik 78.24 parts pure gold (A • P)'. A cracking, uncirculated example of this desirable type.
