In this talk, Nazran will cover how one can one navigate through the hype and the breadth to be a data scientist from challenges, hurdles, and lessons learned throughout his work About the Speaker Tasked with championing data science analytics throughout his organization, he and his team conducted various pilot projects in the areas of economic and financial surveillance as well as setting up the foundation towards a more data-driven organization. Hailing from the University of Michigan with a degree in Computer Science and Economics, Nazran also finds joy in well-designed data pipelines, hackathons, and nerdy data science jokes Talk 2: "Data Engineering 101: Background, Team Structure, and Skill Set" Meng Xin will be giving an overview of the field of data engineering, how it has evolved in recent years and deep dive into the structure of a data engineering team along with the different skill sets required to become a data engineer About the Speaker Meng Xin is an Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering graduate from Monash University. She has spent the last two years in the tech industry with 10 months as a Data Engineer in MoneyLion.
