2019 North Dakota Teacher of the Year Kayla Delzer on Relationships, Student-Centered Classroom

Mapleton third grade teacher Kayla Delzer says her mission as 2019 North Dakota Teacher of the Year is to highlight teachers and the innovative things they’re doing in schools across North Dakota--things she says aren't being done anywhere else. Delzer is on the front lines of innovative education, implementing flexible seating, Genius Hour, and focusing on relationships in her student-centered classroom. Delzer is a Global Keynote Speaker, author, TEDx speaker and member of North Dakota's Innovative Education Task Force.
