Hi, Greetings of the day ! Please be informed that we have following details of the Session 1-Java Introduction-Java History we discussed. Java Introduction Core Java → J2SE → Java 2 Standard Edition. - it covers the fundamentals of the languages. - variable - how to declare. - data types. - Looping structure. - Conditional statements. - Arrays. - Strings. - Exceptional handling. - OOP implementation. - Why do we need J2SE? - We can develop Stand Alone Application using J2SE. - What is Stand Alone Application ? - Application which does not use Client Server Architecture is called Stand alone application. - Application → Software → Collection of programs → when we executes the programs(logic) of the the software in the same machine is called Stand alone application. - When your logic is not distributed over a network we call this Stand Alone Application. - Advanced Java - There is not such concept like that , basically we take some topics like JDBC from J2SE and some topic from J2EE like servlet etc ,when we discuss them in detail we say Advance java concept. - J2EE → Java 2 Enterprise Edition. - Why do we need J2EE ? - Its used to develop the Client Server Architecture Based application or Enterprise application - What is Client Server Architecture ? - When we have our application logic distributed over multiple machines we call it as Client Server Architecture - J2ME → Java 2 Micro Edition. - We use this to develop the mobile applications only. Java History In 1991 Jan , sun micro system wanted to developed a product Remote Controller in order to code or encode the chips or the program in Remote they needed a programming language. We had Pascal in Early 1990 program language which was solution on POP (procedural oriented Programming) Nicolas wirth. He proposed the solution to Sun Micro System which was in POP but Sun Micro System wanted in OOPs way. So that's the reason they rejected the Solution on Nicolas Wirth and Decided to Developed there own programming language. In order to developed new programming they started Project Green and its was led James Gosling and Patrick Naughthan What feature they wanted to have in there Programming ? - Simple Programming Language. - Less Execution Time → better Performance → More Customer Base → More Profit. - Less memory → Less cost → More Customer Base → More Profit. - Less Power Consumption → Less hardware Interaction → Less Battery Usage → low maintenance cost. Tight Coded Programming Language. In C , C++ if we have write a program on linked list or stack it would atleast take 45 line of code but in java you can achieve it in 10-15 line of code. Architectural Neutral Programming Language. They wanted to create programming language which is available everywhere , in every device. → more customer → more profit. Regards, Let Us JAVA
