Dr. Shyam Vasudeva Rao on Frugal Innovation in Healthcare: TUHH Talk

Dr. Shyam Vasudeva Rao, Founder & Director of Forus Healthcare Pvtl. Ltd. and Co-founder & Director of Renalyx Health Systems (among several other renowned positions he holds) is a serial innovator from Bengaluru in India. In addition, he is also Technical Director at Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Dr. Rao is credited with several pathbreaking frugal solutions that fulfill the criterion of "affordable excellence". On May 19, 2021, Dr. Rao was invited by Center for Frugal Innovation of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH) in Germany to deliver a guest lecture on the theme of "More from Less: Frugal Innovation for Sustainable Healthcare". The talk was delivered to students of the Global Innovation Management (GIM) of Dr. Stephan Buse and Dr. Rajnish Tiwari. The GIM course is a part of the curriculum in G-TIME (Global Technology and Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship), a Master's program at TUHH. It is coordinated by the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at TUHH. The talk is moderated by Dr. Rajnish Tiwari, who has co-founded CFI at TUHH, and is a faculty member at the Hochschule Fresenius (HSF) in Hamburg (faculty OnlinePlus).
