Tara’s Story (read description)

Tara was a barrel horse and in 2016 she was diagnosed with UV -itis and she vets told me that she would never barrel race again and that she should only gat light exercise. So i only rode her lightly but i was able to walk trot and lope the barrel pattern but the 3rd day of riding her again she still had to much energy and she tried to run and went through the fence. She had a huge gash on her right shoulder and broke a bone in her face, we gave her about 2 weeks off before she started to run the field. We decided that it was safer just to ride her after her face healed and she went on in barrel racing to win the NBHA open 3d buckle, NBHA youth 4d buckle, Youth 1d reserve blanket, Youth 4d reserve blanket and the NBHA 4d reserve saddle pad. Tara is a once in a lifetime horse.
