Wild Neighbors Speaker Series - "Everything You Didn't Know About Opossums"

Opossums are one of North America’s most misunderstood wild animals, yet they are extremely beneficial to both humans and other wildlife. Guin McDaid has been a wildlife rehabilitator on and off for the past 20 years, and opossums are her animal of choice. She presents details about opossums' “superpowers,” their habitat and behavior, life cycles, and mating habits, as well as a long list of interesting facts about why we should protect and cherish our very own Texas marsupials. Wild Neighbors is a speaker series organized by Travis County Natural Resources and the City of Austin Wildland Conservation Division, which both manage large portions of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve.
