White House says Iran war could go on for several weeks
American Freedom Alliance Fellow Bradley Thayer talks about the political impact of the Middle East conflict on US President Donald Trump and the Republicans.
“The White House has stressed that they envision the war might go on for several weeks more … so for a total of four to six weeks,” Mr Thayer told Sky News host Jaimee Rogers.
“If that’s true, then the political impact on President Trump will be pretty moderate.
“If it goes on much longer than that, then we should expect a much greater impact on President Trump’s electoral position and on the impact on the Republicans in the midterms on November 3rd.”
