It's All About Love: A One-woman Story Medicine Performance by Meta Commerse ~ Intro

Meta Commerse is a lover of words and lifelong writer, born from a family of artists. At Goddard College, Meta earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Health Arts & Science in a study of community-based interventions. She also studied Pre-Civil War U.S. History, with a focus on racism as abuse. Her MFA, also earned from Goddard College, is in Creative Writing, focusing on fiction, or, story as medicine. Meta is the author of six books, the mother of three fine children, and grandmother of three fabulous grandsons. She was an instructor of English and History at Haywood Community College in Clyde, North Carolina.

Meta is the founder of Story Medicine and holds workshops and retreats on Story Medicine in Asheville, North Carolina and beyond.
