On our way out of the New Hampshire woods hiking & exploring we had just got done metal detecting for the day. Bush wacking our way back to the start point through really bad terrain and thick brush we stumbled upon a lost colonial homesite. A small cellar hole that was the old foundation for a colonial home back in the 1700s. Dame turn on his Garrett ATPRO to check for iron signals and sure as anything there is metal in the ground, so we decide to swing for a bit.
DC turns on his Garrett ATGOLD and the first thing dug was a King George II Irish Hibernia coin......wow ! this old 1700s coin is so green and in really good condition. We didn't expect to find this abandoned homesite so we were very excited and started swinging like crazy, dandy buttons, tomb buttons and more started turning up out of the dirt. Waynos with his ATGOLD digs up two coppers and one of them is a horned bust CT. Copper coin. There is no doubt this site is untouched and never been detected before us. There are so many lost early settlers sites like this in New England way out in the woods and sometimes ou just have to stumble upon them.
To top of the video Faceless George gets a suspension box from Big Al Manuel that states " Do not open until you find a jar of coins" FG was chuckling over this one because he knows what the odds of finding such a thing is. But it has happened, a guy the next town over years ago found a jar of coins stuffed in one of the old stone walls while he was out walking.
