Senator Umeh Calls For Award Of Road Projects To Competent Companies

The Senator representing Anambra Central, Senator Dr. Victor Umeh OFR on Tuesday called for the hand over of the roads contract to another competent company preferably “SETRACO” which he said has a track record of constructing durable roads.

Lending his voice to the motion, titled “urgent need to investigate delay in completion of Umuahia Umudike-Ikot Ekpene, Aba-Ikot Ekpene and Aba-Ossisioma to Port -Harcourt roads” sponsored by Senator Darlington Nwokocha

Senator Umeh said” The road is a nightmare, Ikot-Ekpene, Aba-Ikot Ekpene take over two hours and the road to Port-Harcourt is very regrettable. The companies handling the roads are incompetent. Action must be taken to review the contracts.
