Homemade Tiny Travel Trailer (Father-Daughter Project)

This is a slideshow of our tiny travel trailer build.

After years of tent camping, my daughter decided it wasn’t for her. I had previously built a teardrop, but I have nothing but bad memories associated with it, along with broken steel from a HF trailer.

Late in 2017, my daughter and I started demolition on a 1984 Coachman pop-up trailer I got from a Craigslist sale for dirt cheap. We took it to my friends at Auto Enhancers of Rockford where they gave it the royal treatment, fixing up the frame and upgrading axle, hubs, and wheels. We got it into the garage in April of 2018 and we made our first camping trip on May 4, 2019!

Our build project was hugely inspired by OregonBatman and Tireguy 1000 (to name two) as well as many other YouTube DIY’ers. Having the previous build experience and inspiration, we decided to build a new one for me, my daughter, and our dog!
