Ambergris: A product of the intestines of sperm whales found floating on the ocean and blanched by sea and sun with a skin-like salty and warm effect. Synthetically recreated today. This note is included in the base notes of this fragrance but I truly believe that this is the note that brings this fragrance into the light. I will be on he search for other fragrances that contain ambergris just to see if this highly sought after note performs the same way in other fragrances. I would also like to find out how other perfume houses pair it with different notes to create something special such at this amazing fragrance called Olympéa.
Now on to my final thoughts. I recently reviewed Paco Rabanne's Pure XS and fell in love with it. It performed more than my expectations and to my surprise, so does this fragrance. One must wonder what other fragrances from this house smell like and how they perform as well. I love the salty and vanilla accords in this bottle and take a look at the bottle itself. It's pure elegance with a sassy flair and not over the top tacky at all. The fragrance after a few hours settled into my skin and those base notes played out amazingly. I was not able to get any compliments while wearing this fragrance but after I asked others to smell it, they (co-workers) all agreed and admitted that they loved the fragrance and wanted more information to purchase it for themselves. This is one bottle that I never find myself adding to a de-clutter. I simply love it so much. This house did an amazing job creating the fragrance and the bottle. Super happy that I purchased the full size. It is well worth the hype in my eyes and nose.
