If you are well-to-do and wanted a people carrier for the family getaways, you would have to buy a massive 7-seater SUV and compromise on the rear seat space. Now though, Mercedes is offering its MPV - the V-Class in India which can seat 6 people in absolute comfort. But, it comes with a hefty price of Rs 81.9 lakh, which is just a lakh of the entry-level GLS. However, it does pack a healthy dose of versatility and practicality to make a strong case for itself. Question is though, is the V-Class right for you?

Prices for the Mercedes-Benz V Class luxury MPV from Rs 68.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the extra-long wheelbase Expression Line. The long wheelbase Exclusive Line is priced at Rs 81.90 lakh. The LWB (6-seater) gets a wheelbase of 3200mm and is 5140mm long. The ELWB (7-seater), on the other hand, gets a wheelbase of 3430mm and measures 5370mm in length.

Inside, there is no MBUX infotainment system, instead you get the traditional analogue instrument cluster with a digital MID screen between the tacho and the speedometer. It also gets a slightly older version of the COMAND system as well. In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, attention assist, active parking assist and a 360-degree camera.
