Arriving to Baghdad, Iraq at 1AM 🇮🇶(Why did I do this?)

Baghdad, Iraq ➖ After waiting a few months for the Iraqi summer heat to subside, I finally made a trip out to Federal Iraq. Since the introduction of Visa on Arrival for tourists in March, I’d seen a few YouTubers come here and explore the beautiful country. Their videos were amazing but they did one thing I DESPISE… they went on a choreographed tour. A tour where you’re shipped around like caged animals taken from one historical place to the next… then claiming at the end that you got an authentic experience.

Each to their own of course, but I know to experience the real Iraqi hospitality, I needed to meet the local people and go on this journey the proper Luke Damant way. I flew into Baghdad at 1am with @World Nomac and this is where the Iraq journey began!
