Vlogging Essentials - Nikon Z50 Twin Lens Kit

I tested out the Nikon Twin Lens Kit for the Z50 (Vlogging Camera) and couldn't get over the clarity of the footage!

In this video, I go through the Ultimate Vloggers Kit as part of the Nikon Z50 Twin Lens Kit promo bundle. If I could give my beginner self some tips on vlogging equipment, I'd choose (apart from a vlogging camera) - a compact microphone, a tripod/gorillapod and a light. Well, that's pretty much what I started with except I had to filter through a lot of websites to decide what was best for me. Hehe

"Why?" You ask. What I've learned about vlogging is that you need to be compact, but you also need quality sound and an option to mount your camera on something more stable than your hand.

If want "reach", the 50-250mm lens will get you those shots that you typically wouldn't be able to access. If you want to vlog at arm's length (this is my typical style of vlogging), the 16mm-50mm will be your best friend. As for microphones, I've previously used the Rode Directional Microphone, but this Rode Micro is definitely a lot easier to pack because it's smaller and does the job well. Realistically, I'd only travel with the Rode Micro, and my Rode Wireless Go for a second option since I like to keep my vlogging kit lean, carrying essentials only. I would only typically have my tripod with me if I had a suitcase, but now, this Gorillapod 1K is easy to fit into a backpack, so I'll be carrying this with me.
