This is going to be a review of the BOSS Base Camp XW18 Outdoor Shower System. I have to say the purchase of this unit has fundamentally changed my life on the road and has already saved me a lot of money off of gym memberships. I am beginning to live full time out of my rig and traveling to various places in Colorado and most recently over the Summer I ventured up into Alberta, Canada and camped at my favorite spot in Banff National Park.

Since I do a lot of travel I was finding it hard to:

A. Find a gym that's everywhere I am, and
B. I camp primary in the back woods when I'm not in town working, so no shower as of then.

Thus began my search of a shower system in which I would be able to portable install into the back of my Toyota Tundra. Ironically it was when I was heading back to Colorado from Montana this Summer that I happened upon an add on Craigslist for a Base Camp Shower system. The add said gently used and was about a hundred dollars off from list. At this time my current gym membership was up for renewal for $60 a month, I was said to myself, "In two months this shower system would be paid for and I would a really nice tool to add to my camping gear!" I set up a meeting with the lady and sure enough it had only been used twice and was in near new condition.

I bought it and can I say it paid for itself within the first 24 hours? I went for a hike out at an abandoned airfield here in Fort Collins. Right as Nicki and I began to hike there was a skunk that Nicki decided to go for and she got sprayed for the first time in her doggy life!! Almost as bad as the time when she rolled in a sun rotted fish in Juneau, AK! YUK!
