Aquamarine - Carp fishing in gin clear water

Deep in the heart of the beautiful North Downs in Kent, there is a lake where the water is gin clear and blue as a tropical ocean - a real hidden gem. This week, we're off on another carping adventure on the impressive aquamarine St. Andrews lake in Halling.

This place is MASSIVE. 75 acres and 90 metres deep! And full of stunning scaly carp 😊 Along with the fishing, St. Andrews lake is home to other fun activities including paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. They also scuba dive in the depths.

Fishery manager Chris Currie very kindly invited us down to fish for the weekend which we were very keep to take up, having seen photos of the place. It's a little off the radar but unjustifiably I think. It's a lovely vista and a carping adventure you just have to experience.
