How to Remove Non Removable Battery & Repair Asus Laptop

laptop: I plugged my headset plug into USB port by accident, and my laptop shut down-- WOULDN'T POWER ON just a black screen.
The FOLLOWING steps laid out, works on many ASUS Non Removable type laptops, but you MUST first locate the battery inside.

11 Steps I took to get my Asus laptop back up and running again! TRY IT! It WORKED!

Disclaimer: I'm NOT a computer technician. I am only sharing the steps I took to get my lap top working again. *I do not take responsibility for any accidents or damage which COULD arise from following the directions laid out in this video.
EXERCISE CAUTION. take your time. Good LUCK!

*NOTE: Unplug the power cord from main power source before touching anything once the back panel is removed. BE CAUTIONED.

1. Removed back panel screws & panel. (use a small screw driver like the one used for prescription eye glasses to remove the tiny screws. Than use a pocket knife to carefully lift and detach the back panel).
2. Dislodged & unplugged non removable battery
3. Plugged in power cord
4. Powered on the laptop
5. Performed a hard reset: Hold power button down for 30 seconds. This shut the laptop down and it restarted it.
6. Shut down laptop properly by routine shut down method. ie; start, shutdown etc.
7. Waited for the system to come to complete halt. Fan stopped
8. Reattached battery cable plugs
9. Checked to see if laptop would start on battery power alone.
10. Once system started on battery, I checked battery indicator icons on laptop to be sure the battery indicator showed proper battery charge, and was charging with power cord.
11. Made sure everything worked and battery cords were secured and functioning before attaching the back panel & screws for final time.
