Hip Flexor Couch Stretch

The couch hip flexor stretch is a great way to open up the front of the hip and thigh, especially the hip flexors and rectus femoris. If you sit a lot, train hard, or feel like your low back wants to take over during hip extension, this stretch can help improve mobility and positioning.

The key is to keep your ribs down, glutes lightly engaged, and avoid arching through the low back. You should feel this more in the front of the hip and thigh, not as pressure in your back.

This is a great drill for improving hip extension, reducing compensation, and helping your body move better during squats, lunges, running, and everyday activity.
