Do they keep the rain out? Magellan SwiftRise Pro 4P/3P Hub Tent - Rain Test

Tested our Magellan SwiftRise Pro 4P and 3P Hub tents in the rain.

The first big rain to come up since we picked up these tents. We though we would check out how they do before we eventually get caught out during a storm. To be clear, I have not yet done any extra seam sealing or water repellant treatments, these tents are new and as-is out of the box.

The short answer: Yes. They did much better than some of the tents we have owned, but a small amount of water did get in.

Update for the 3P Tent. While doing some additional rain testing of the 3 person tent, I have noticed a issue with the loose fabric beneath the front door which allowed water to pool on the fabric. After some time, this allowed the water to seep in at that spot. I didn't notice this during this review. I will post an updated video soon and maybe somebody has some suggestions.

Update for both the tents. After have gear in the tents (sleeping pads and bags) and sitting on grass for a couple days, the bottom of the sleeping pads did get wet, water had come though the flooring. We will be looking for a tarp solution for the ground in the near future.
