Firefighter reportedly trapped in Steele Creek home while battling blaze
Crews worked to battle a fire that trapped a firefighter inside a home near the North Carolina and South Carolina state line late Wednesday night.
Steele Creek VFD told WCNC Charlotte the fire broke out along Fieldstone Trace in the Steele Creek area, on the North Carolina side, some time before 10 p.m. While initial details were limited, the department did confirm a firefighter was trapped inside.
