Ten things I wish I knew before buying a 3D Printer
When I bought my first 3D printer (Cetus 3D Mark 1), it was based on price only. After using it for a few years, I've learned quite a bit. This video is intended to share with the community that knowledge, so that others benefit.
UPDATE 3/3/20: If you thought this was helpful, there is no a followup to help when you have a 3D printer, and are trying to understand the terminology: https://youtu.be/pFGbBYy1GuA
There are of course more than 10 things I've learned, but these are 10 that I hadn't seen other videos focus as much on. I plan on doing shorter, more in depth videos here and there of techniques, but I want to try to focus on aspects that aren't already covered by the amazing YouTube community.
The main thing I want to get across is to not be intimidated. The hobby is a ton of fun, and with the community doing reviews, tutorials, and helping each other out, it's getting more accessible each day. However, have proper expectations...it takes time, it's not 100%, it takes some fiddling, and be ready to learn.
Since buying a printer I've learned about 3D modeling, chemistry as it relates to the melting/hardening of materials, mechanics around vibration and movement, and more.
I'd like to thank the subscribers and community for the positive feedback, comments, and support...it helps me to improve. I'm hoping to release 2 videos a month. This is my first attempt with lighting/audio/editing...I'll get better :)

Note to my subscribers:
Thankyou! At this time I hit 275 subscribers, which blows me away. I hope you found this useful. For those looking for more CNC videos, I plan on getting back to those in March of 2019 (I have to rebuild the MPCNC once my workshop is complete). In the meantime I have some fun project videos coming up!
